<\/p>\nThere are two ways to get married to a Romanian national: first submit the marriage registration in Japan, or first go through the marriage procedures at the Romanian city hall.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(1) Obtain a certificate from the Romanian Embassy in Japan swearing that the Romanian national is single and able to marry.<\/strong><\/p>\n (2) Submit the marriage certificate to the municipal office of the city, ward, town or village in Japan<\/strong><\/p>\n \u3010Required Documents\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n \u30fbMarriage registration (3) Reportable notification to the Romanian Embassy in Japan (within 6 months of marriage registration)<\/strong><\/p>\n \u3010Required Documents\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n \u30fbCertificate of Acceptance of Marriage and a copy of the family register after marriage (with apostille certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) (2) Go to the city hall of the Romanian national’s place of residence to complete the marriage procedures.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u3010Required Documents\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n \u30fbMarriage Affidavit (3) After the 10-day public announcement of the marriage by the City Hall in (2) above, a civil marriage ceremony is held between 11 and 14 days after the application is filed.
